Real Estate Investment Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Investment Analyst to join our team at Bayview Asset Management, LLC. As a key member of our investment team, you will play a critical role in the underwriting, acquisition, repositioning, and sale of single-family real estate across our proprietary sourcing channels.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough underwriting and monitoring of single-family real estate assets to inform investment decisions
  • Analyze current value, potential rent, cost of renovation, and projected sale price for individual assets
  • Perform ROI and IRR analyses for various strategies and channels
  • Develop and maintain financial models of existing and potential new investments
  • Stress test investment performance through scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Prepare and present investment memorandums to senior investment professionals
  • Monitor and research real estate market trends, synthesizing complex information from multiple data sources
  • Collaborate with asset/property management, construction, and title partners to ensure seamless operations
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in investment analysis, real estate acquisitions, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new software and systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of integrity and sound business judgment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Real estate license or certification
  • Experience with DiSC personality assessment
