This role is based in a specialized unit at Jefferson Einstein Hospital, recognized for its excellence in patient care.

Work Schedule

Our scheduling is designed to provide flexibility, with shifts planned six weeks in advance. The requirements for this position include:

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including both day and night
  • Commitment to two (2) twelve (12) hour shifts weekly
  • Availability for every third (3rd) weekend
  • Participation in one holiday per season

Key Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Technician, you will report to the Nurse Manager and be responsible for delivering direct bedside care to patients, including:

  • Executing assigned nursing tasks to ensure patient comfort and safety
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for all assigned patients
  • Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
  • Providing support in respiratory and rehabilitation services

Qualifications

To be considered for the Patient Care Technician role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Patient Care Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting as a nursing assistant or PCT
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
