Your Role as a Laser Technician
As a Laser Technician at Areté, you will play a crucial role in the assembly of AIRTRAC lasers, which involves constructing optical systems.
This position requires expertise in handling optical components and securing them with various adhesives while collaborating with a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to design, develop, test, and manufacture lasers.

Key Responsibilities
- Fine-tuning and aligning optical elements and lasers.
- Assisting in the construction, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of both developmental and production electronic and optical systems, either independently or under the guidance of an electrical or optical engineer.
- Setting up and utilizing sophisticated optical equipment, either autonomously or under the supervision of an optical engineer, and performing optical measurements and testing to support laser alignment, fabrication, and performance assessments.

Qualifications We Seek
- Familiarity with electronic and optical testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, power meters, optical sensors, spectrometers, cameras, lasers, and detectors.
- Ability to produce comprehensive documentation and meticulously record setups and testing outcomes.
- An Associate's degree in a Technical or Engineering field or a related discipline, or substantial relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient computer skills.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Detail-oriented with experience in optical and environmental testing.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $65,000, with various factors influencing the final offer, including the specific role and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, and key skills.

Additional Information
- U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility.
- Selected candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet the criteria for access to classified information.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test is mandatory for eligibility.
