Job Summary
The Optical Technician will be responsible for manufacturing high-precision optics and opto-electronic components. This role requires a strong understanding of optical metrology, clean room procedures, and ESD safety protocols. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- High-precision optics metrology (interferometry, optical part characterization)
- Cleaning, handling, and assembly of optical and opto-electronic components
- Optical contacting
- Cleaning and visual inspection of optical components
- Proper handling and packaging of critical and fragile optical components
- Inventory management of consumables for clean room, manufacturing, and chemical supplies
- Procedure enforcement, maintenance, and cleaning of fabrication and clean room areas
- Ability to read, follow, and understand procedures
- Documentation and procedure development of manufacturing processes
- Actively participate in establishing and improving manufacturing processes procedures
- Transacts production work orders through ERP
- Follows all safety training and guidelines
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or his/her designate
Requirements:

Reporting and Location:
This position is based in Longmont, Colorado and reports to the Production Supervisor.
Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $40,200.00 - $60,400.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonus plan.
