Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist II to join our Inpatient Acute Rehab team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a key member of our team, you will provide advanced physical therapy services to patients with functional limitations, including direct patient evaluations and treatments, and non-direct patient care activities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, establish treatment goals, and plan appropriate treatments.
  • Provide physical therapy services to in-patients and out-patients, including individual and group treatments, home care skills, and discharge planning.
  • Manage team operations in the absence of the Senior Physical Therapist, including supervising staff and students, and mentoring non-rehab staff on rehab roles and techniques.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, suggest improvements, and engage in and present in-service training programs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree plus five years of physical therapist experience, or Master's Degree, or Doctorate of PT.
  • Current Maryland physical therapist licensure.
  • Two years of full-time Acute Rehab Physical Therapist experience.
  • Current CPR certification.
