Job Summary:

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join a busy OBGYN practice in Beaumont with a team of physicians and midwives. As a Certified Nurse Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary and specialty care to patients, including prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Conduct routine check-ups, perform medical procedures, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Current certification to practice as an Advance Practice Nurse in the State of Texas.
  • Current Texas midwife certification.
  • One year full-time post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
  • Master's Degree required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with diverse populations.
  • Leadership skills to direct others toward the successful treatment of patients.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate patient status and healthcare procedures/techniques.
  • Fiscal skills to monitor and control costs and revenue.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement new ideas or systems.
  • Able to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties.
  • CPR; ACLS preferred.

Work Environment:

Full-time position in a busy OBGYN practice with a team of physicians and midwives.
