As a Clinical Supervisor RN at Atrium Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading the nursing team on the 3 North Medical Surgical unit. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong clinical and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assist the manager with daily operations, including patient care coordination, staff allocation, and communication.
- Support the manager in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and address patient care concerns and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular rounds to ensure patient satisfaction and appropriateness of care.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to nursing staff as needed.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
- Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in a medical surgical unit.
- Previous management experience is preferred.
- BSN required; RN candidates without a BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within one year of hire and complete the program within three years.
- BLS certification is required.
- Appropriate professional certification (clinical or leadership) is required within one year of eligibility.
