Position Overview

The role of the Adjunct Instructor in Humanities is pivotal in delivering quality education under the guidance of the Academic Dean. This part-time position is dedicated to fostering a learning environment that aligns with the mission and educational objectives of Colorado Early Colleges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the educational principles outlined on the Colorado Early Colleges website.
  • Design and implement a Humanities curriculum that meets the standards of community college education.
  • Create comprehensive lesson plans and instructional resources to facilitate student engagement and learning.
  • Develop interactive learning experiences that connect academic concepts to real-world applications.
  • Conduct continuous evaluations of student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Establish a classroom atmosphere that promotes safety, individualized attention, and collaborative learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Ensure compliance with the Student and Family Handbook and uphold institutional standards of conduct.
  • Engage with fellow faculty and participate in professional development and staff meetings as directed by the Academic Dean.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area.
  • Approval from the community college partner is required prior to commencement.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred.
