Job Summary:

As an Adjunct Patient Care Technician Instructor at Hill College, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Patient Care Technician program. Your primary goal will be to ensure the success of the total teaching/learning process within the assigned classroom, laboratory, or other learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students and align with the program's curriculum.
  • Deliver instruction in a clear and concise manner, using a variety of teaching methods to engage students.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes and improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting, preferably in the Patient Care Technician program.
  • Working knowledge of patient care techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Certification in patient care or a related field.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a classroom or laboratory setting.
  • May require occasional travel to off-campus locations.
