Critical Care Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Physician Assistant or Acute Nurse Practitioner to work overnight in the ICU department in Kingston, NY.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that involves working overnight shifts in the ICU department. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients, working effectively in a team environment, and being committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Responsibilities- Recognize abnormalities in test results and take appropriate treatment actions, consulting with physicians when necessary.
- Initiate and facilitate referral or transfer of patients to other medical facilities for further medical care, under the consultation of physicians.
- Ensure proper documentation in the medical record, including history, physical examination, diagnosis, treatment records, condition on discharge, patient instructions, and follow-up.
- Manage medical, surgical, and trauma issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Perform phlebotomies and IV access as needed.
- Participate in the Quality Improvement program as requested by the Medical Director.
We are looking for a graduate of an accredited program for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current licensure in the State of New York. A minimum of two years of experience in Critical Care is required. Additionally, Acute Care Certification is required for Nurse Practitioners.
