We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at WMCHealth in Kingston, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments, including history and physical examinations.
  • Order diagnostic tests and interpret results to inform treatment decisions.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Initiate and facilitate referrals or transfers to other medical facilities as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
  • Manage medical, surgical, and trauma cases in a timely and effective manner.
  • Respond to emergency situations with speed and accuracy.
  • Perform phlebotomies and IV access as required.
  • Demonstrate expertise in intubation techniques.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with current licensure in New York State.
  • Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care Certification required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in Critical Care.
  • BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications.
  • PALS certification preferred.
