Job Overview

This role is designed to represent altafiber at various events (community gatherings, sponsorships, etc.) to enhance the altafiber brand presence in the areas we serve. As a key member of the Community Engagement Team, you will act as a brand ambassador, ensuring a positive representation of altafiber to the public. Engage, interact, and educate both current and prospective customers about altafiber's products and services. Team members will also assist in distributing marketing materials at events or during community outreach efforts, and support the sales and marketing teams with campaign execution both within and outside of altafiber retail locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute merchandise distribution and event handouts
  • Provide marketing support to Retail or Field sales teams as needed
  • Assist in promoting core products during events within retail stores or community sponsorships
  • Support retail and community/event signage and sales execution
  • Gather customer or prospect contact information, leads, contest entries, etc., at events to enhance measurement and ROI tracking from brand engagement activities
  • Assist with marketing execution for mobile stores and outreach vehicles
  • Document event activations through photography and share with the Community Engagement and Social Media teams for promotional purposes
  • Implement grassroots marketing strategies (door hangers, yard signs, mobile events, etc.) to elevate the altafiber brand
  • Provide support for company-sponsored events and facility sponsorships (e.g., sporting events, community gatherings, trade shows) to bring the altafiber brand to life in an engaging manner
  • Assist in the fulfillment and distribution of branded merchandise for sales and marketing (apparel, customer giveaways, promotional items, etc.)
  • Facilitate experiential marketing initiatives (such as Virtual Reality experiences, product demonstrations, interactive displays, etc.)
  • Manage the pickup, transport, and return of supplies and equipment for marketing events and community outreach
  • Responsible for some expense reporting (e.g., parking, mileage, etc.)

Qualifications

  • No prior marketing experience is necessary, but a background or interest in marketing, sales, or customer service is advantageous

Education

Completion of four years of high school or equivalent

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in basic computer skills, with access to email for communication
  • Excellent oral communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, maturity, and professionalism
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accurate execution
  • Basic knowledge of altafiber products and services
  • Collaborative and adaptable team player

  • This position requires travel; candidates must have their own transportation
  • A valid driver's license and auto insurance are required; driving company vehicles may be necessary
