Position Overview: The Chemical Process Specialist utilizes engineering expertise to establish design criteria that facilitate the assessment and validation of equipment essential for the enhancement and refinement of production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Holds a minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical production, particularly in batch organic chemical or emulsion polymerization settings.
  • Accountable for scrutinizing operational workflows, data, and outcomes to pinpoint, devise, and execute impactful enhancements in the manufacturing sector.
  • Oversees daily production activities and modifies formulations to ensure products meet specified standards, collaborating with Research and Development and Technical Services as necessary.
  • Demonstrates proficient experience with process control PLCs and batch programming languages.
  • Assesses the efficiency of materials, labor, and equipment to maximize productivity while minimizing costs for both current and future installations.
  • Leads initiatives related to Process Safety Information (PSI), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Operating Procedures.
  • Engages in and may spearhead projects associated with process control, process innovation, operator training, and other assigned tasks.
