As an Administrative Support Specialist within the North Georgia Health District at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will be part of a committed group of public health professionals supporting the overarching mission of protecting the lives of residents in various capacities.

Key Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, you will perform a variety of general clerical, secretarial, and administrative support tasks or a few specialized clerical functions in support of a unit or office and its personnel.
  • Data entry and document processing.
  • Operate standard office equipment.
  • Work under the close supervision of a clerical or administrative supervisor.
  • Complete developmental screenings and conduct home visits with parents and children.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and the ability to perform basic office functions and computer-related tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with programs for children with special needs.
