Qualifications
  1. A bachelor's degree in secondary education or a science-related field, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  2. A solid understanding of high school-level science concepts and their real-world applications.
  3. Experience working with adolescents in educational or developmental contexts.
  4. Proven track record of effective teaching and student achievement.
Compensation and Benefits
  1. Competitive salary with annual increases based on performance and student outcomes, starting at $80,000.
  2. Monthly rent stipend for Bronx residents, available for up to three years for new educators.
  3. 401k plan with a 5% employer match.
  4. Comprehensive health benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  5. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for additional support.

*Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000, with potential earnings up to $110,000 based on experience and performance metrics.

Professional Development Opportunities
  1. Regular one-on-one instructional coaching sessions.
  2. Weekly professional development workshops at the school or departmental level.
  3. Summer Professional Development Institute.
  4. Training programs for new and emerging educators.
Expected Outcomes
  1. At least 75% of students will achieve proficiency (score of 65% or higher) in the subject area as assessed by internal evaluations and standardized tests.
  2. A minimum of 33% of students will exceed proficiency (score of 85% or higher) in the subject area as measured by assessments.
  3. The educator will demonstrate proficiency in classroom management and student development, as indicated by referral rates and internal evaluation tools.
