Job Description
The Springfield Area Transit Company (PVTA) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bus Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and providing exceptional customer service.

**About the Position:**
This is a full-time position that requires a high level of customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of transit systems, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

**Responsibilities:**
  • Operate assigned bus on a specified route, adhering to time schedules and local traffic regulations.
  • Collect fares, check transfers and passes for validity, and challenge when necessary.
  • Assist passengers with mobility devices and provide information on routes and transfer points.
  • Report any unusual occurrences, delays, or accidents to the Dispatcher.
