Job Summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a highly skilled Cashier Lead to join our team. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring every guest leaves the store satisfied and eager to return.
  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately, maintaining a clean and well-stocked food and beverage area.
  • Order, receive, and unload product, stocking and rotating merchandise on planograms to maximize sales.
  • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and perform end-of-day reporting, including register audits and safe counts.
  • Assist with scheduling and training lower-level cashiers on job duties and responsibilities.
  • Prioritize tasks according to store and management needs, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Communicate effectively with leaders and coworkers, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of cashier experience, with a strong background in customer service and cash handling.
  • Computer/POS knowledge and experience with register audits and safe counting.
  • Merchandising and stocking experience, with a focus on visual merchandising and inventory management.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
