    • Assemble and deliver food trays to patients and clients. Serve meals in the cafeteria and to patients. Prepare food following detailed instructions. Process dietary menus and orders. Interpret production orders and recipes to ensure proper food preparation. Select and use appropriate dishes and utensils for portioning menu items. Accurately arrange items on trays based on customer preferences. Prepare various food items including entrees, vegetables, sandwiches, salads, soups, and beverages. Utilize blenders for soft or liquid diet preparations. Collect and transport soiled meal trays back to the kitchen, ensuring a clean cart is left behind.
    • Sort and clean food and paper waste from trays, placing dishes into designated cleaning carts. Inspect work surfaces and equipment for cleanliness and safe operation. Disassemble and clean equipment as necessary. Follow safe food handling practices and maintain personal hygiene to prevent contamination. Use appropriate cleaning solutions while adhering to safety protocols. Sweep and mop floors, manage waste disposal, and operate compactors as required. Properly label and store food items, maintaining inventory and organizing stock as needed. Monitor food and equipment temperatures to ensure safety standards are met. Handle cash transactions accurately and prepare reports for cash register activities.
    • Assist in receiving food and supply orders, ensuring proper storage and rotation of stock. Maintain cleanliness in storage areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
  • EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Minimum:
      • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
    • Preferred Qualifications:
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT
    • Regular exposure to wet and humid conditions, as well as high temperatures.
    • Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals and cold environments.
    • Work may involve proximity to moving mechanical parts.
    • Noise levels in the workplace are typically moderate.
    • Frequent handling of sharp tools and equipment.
    • Safety footwear is required to prevent slips and falls.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
