Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial reporting. This position oversees the financial close process, ensuring that all financial statements are prepared in compliance with applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Reconcile bank statements, subsidiary ledgers, and various accounts to the general ledger.
2. Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, adhering to GAAP or IFRS standards.
3. Facilitate the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and precise completion.
4. Analyze financial data and generate reports to assist management in decision-making.
5. Prepare journal entries, accruals, and amortization calculations for monthly closing.
6. Accurately document intercompany transactions to maintain precise financial records across different entities.
7. Engage in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
8. Support external audits by providing necessary information and documentation to auditors.
9. Stay informed on the latest accounting standards and best practices.

Qualifications:
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years in a senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
- Proficient in financial reporting standards and concepts.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Oracle NetSuite.
- Previous experience in the manufacturing sector.
