OR Charge Nurse

USPI Paso Del Norte is seeking a skilled OR Charge Nurse to oversee the efficient operation of our 5 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring seamless coordination with medical staff and administrators.
- Mentor and train new staff members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Monitor medical charts and administer compassionate care and assistance to patients and families, demonstrating clinical competency and leadership capabilities.
- Liaise with doctors and administrators, communicating protocol changes and updates to staff, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

- Accreditation & Ownership: Our facility holds accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, showcasing our commitment to upholding the highest standards.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree preferred or work-related experience.
- Current Texas RN License.
- BLS, ACLS required.
- Three (3) years' experience in intra-operative settings.
- One year of leadership experience in intra-operative settings.
- Independent decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families, and vendors.
- Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room.
- Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Shall be physically able to stand, walk, and maintain varied body motions and positions for long periods of time.
- Shall be able to move up to 100 lbs.
