PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse to join our team at USPI Paso Del Norte Surgery Center. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our PreOp and PACU departments, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality surgical services.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the PreOp and PACU staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to resolve issues and improve patient outcomes.
- Provide education and training to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction.
- Current Texas Nursing License
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
- Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU or ICU
- Strong PreOp/PACU experience and knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
