Job Overview

Core Responsibilities:

The individual will be engaged in various functions within the facility, stepping in to support operations during staff absences or when personnel are advancing their skills through training. Additional tasks may include maintaining cleanliness and executing other responsibilities as directed by supervisory staff.

Essential Qualifications:

Adherence to all safety protocols within the plant is mandatory. The candidate must ensure cleanliness in designated areas and be prepared to undertake any other assigned responsibilities.

Operational Procedures and Expectations:

1. Safety is paramount; the employee must be capable of performing tasks without risk. Awareness of the environment and potential hazards is essential.

2. Knowledge of relevant lockout/tagout procedures is required.

3. The ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, squeeze trucks, and Bobcats safely is necessary. A valid driver's license is a prerequisite.

4. Comprehensive training will be provided for roles including Production Loader, Filler Driver, Lab Tester, and Liner Driver.

5. Familiarity with standard wash-up procedures, including fire watch rounds, general cleanup, screen inspections, and clothing changes, is expected.

6. The ability to draft and update Visual Work Instructions (VWI) for their specific area is required.

7. The candidate must meet the physical demands associated with this role.

8. Responsibility for maintaining cleanliness is essential.

9. The aforementioned duties are critical for the uninterrupted functioning of the mill operations. The operator is expected to remain on duty until the shift concludes and to be succeeded by the designated incoming personnel.

10. Occasionally, overtime may be necessary. Consistent attendance is a vital component of all positions within the facility.

Compensation may vary based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
