Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting and Finance Shared Services Supervisor to join our team at USG. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the administrative tasks for a manufacturing facility, supervising administrative employees, and ensuring the accurate processing of financial activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage receipt and invoice processing activity, resolve invoice exceptions, and track freight receivers for AP processing.
  • Support month-end closing activities, including financial documentation filing and maintenance.
  • Perform and maintain accrual rebuild reporting to ensure timely resolution of AP processing and proper reporting.
  • Perform GL entries and balances related to miscellaneous inventory management, prepare and execute cycle counts and physical inventory, and close inventory, including the review of pending transactions.
  • Support payroll processing activities, including the Kronos time-keeping system.
  • Create analysis reports for management regarding various cost, efficiency, and inventory trends.
  • Manage the cost accounting system to ensure accurate costing of products, including inventory and resource usage rates.
  • Provide general administrative support to manufacturing plant financial and non-financial activities, including payroll, production reporting, and general bookkeeping.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience with 5-7 years' experience in a similar administrative/accounting role, supervisory experience preferred.
  • Accounting background with a basic understanding of general Human Resources practices.
  • Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple tasks.
  • Outstanding people skills and the ability to build rapport within a diverse workforce environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage own time efficiently and productively.
  • Adaptable to new, different, or changing circumstances.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and possesses aptitude to learn new computer applications as required.
