Overview

New England Cancer Specialists, a leading private medical practice, is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Scarborough, Maine.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be accountable for performing serological, biochemical, and hematological laboratory examinations and tests. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting blood and biological specimens for testing
  • Performing waived to complex testing, quality controls, and reviewing results
  • Setting up and operating medical laboratory equipment
  • Discussing results with physicians and training laboratory technicians as needed
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in laboratory science or a related field. A strong understanding of laboratory principles and methods is essential, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience working in a fast-paced laboratory environment and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package. Our benefits include medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurances, company-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurances, and a company-sponsored retirement program. Generous paid time off and 10 company-paid holidays are also included.
