About This Role

MaineHealth Women's Health is seeking a skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join their expanding Gynecologic Oncology Division.

The ideal candidate will provide primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain complete medical histories and perform physical exams as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians to manage acute and long-term medical needs.
  • Administer medications and discuss alternative treatments.
  • Provide patient education and recommendations for community resources.
  • Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems.
  • Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as necessary.

Requirements:

  • MSN degree and Acute Care certification.
  • Current licensure in the State of Maine or eligibility.
  • Minimum five years of professional nursing experience.
  • Two to three years of APP Oncology experience preferred.
  • OCN or AOCN certification within one year.
