Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to patients, including administering treatments and medications as prescribed by providers.
- Assist with the preparation of equipment and aid providers during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Observe, record, and report patients' condition and reaction to drugs or treatments to providers.
- Oversee appointment bookings and ensure preferences are given to patients in emergency situations.
- Greets patients and obtains well-documented history and vitals, prepares patients for physical exam, and instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Perform various tasks, including vital sign collection, initial patient assessment, coordination of patient transfer to hospital and/or discharge, telephone orders, acceptance of telephone test results, telephone triage, prescription refills, specimen collection, catheterization, and administration of medications.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
- Valid state license to practice nursing.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
