Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Texarkana. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Resident Physicians with patient assessment, testing, and special procedures
  • Coordinate ancillary services, referrals, hospitalizations, and services with other agencies
  • Assess patient needs and provide education on disease status or prevention
  • Collect laboratory specimens as ordered by physicians
  • Assist patients to laboratory and radiology for diagnostic testing
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed
Requirements
  • Current and valid LPN license by the State of Arkansas
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • One year of clinical nursing experience or new grad with current license and one year of previous medical experience (MA, PCT, CNA)
  • Strong organizational skills and computer knowledge
