Position Summary: The Day Program Employment Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an employment and community-based day support (CBDS) program tailored for individuals with disabilities. Key responsibilities include staff supervision (hiring, performance management, employee development, training, and coaching), coordinating staff activities to achieve program goals, managing member services, and ensuring compliance with all operational and regulatory requirements.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hours)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all necessary certifications (e.g., MAP, First Aid, CPR, OSHA, Fire Safety, Human Rights) are maintained by both the manager and staff.
  2. Provide leadership by fostering a cohesive team and an engaging work environment.
  3. Conduct interviews to recruit qualified candidates for departmental vacancies and facilitate their training and development.
  4. Perform 90-day and annual performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and recognition to staff.
  5. Oversee documentation to ensure compliance with DDS regulations and timely completion.
  6. Supervise the execution of Individual Support Plans, including data collection and electronic record maintenance.
  7. Assist in service referrals and development within the employment/CBDS site.
  8. Manage the program budget, adhering to established spending guidelines.
  9. Maintain collaborative relationships with other service providers and DDS, acting as a liaison between day services, residential services, and families.
  10. Facilitate the creation and training of group employment and volunteer opportunities in partnership with the Career Specialist.
  11. Encourage individuals in our services to develop and enhance their personal, social, and community skills.
  12. Submit monthly billing for individual and group employment services, ensuring compliance with DDS, CARF, and agency standards.
  13. Promote an environment that supports Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging for all employees and individuals served.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma required.
  2. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  3. Experience working with individuals with disabilities in community settings is strongly preferred.
  4. Prior experience in an administrative or leadership capacity is strongly preferred.
  5. A valid driver's license in the state of the program is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Familiarity with DDS regulations and CARF standards.
  2. Understanding of Behavior Management and Human Rights principles.
  3. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
