Position Overview:
The Clinical Care Coordinator (Registered Nurse) plays a vital role in facilitating patient care and enhancing physician accessibility. This position serves as a crucial link among patients, healthcare staff, and physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care within the parameters of licensure and in alignment with company policies.
- Takes responsibility for the quality of care provided to patients.
- Collects laboratory specimens following established protocols, ensuring accurate labeling.
- Prioritizes patient care by executing physician directives and nursing procedures.
- Maintains accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Ensures proper patient identification prior to administering and documenting care.
- Facilitates efficient patient flow within the healthcare setting.
- Utilizes Tasking in EHR effectively and in a timely manner.
- Schedules patient appointments in accordance with established guidelines.
- Administers injections per established protocols and documents them accurately in EHR.
- Demonstrates proficiency in telephone triage protocols and records interactions in EHR.
- Manages the scheduling of staff and healthcare providers.
- Oversees the inventory of medical and office supplies, including ordering as necessary.
- Monitors staff performance and addresses patient concerns or issues.
- Identifies and reports potential health and safety risks.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift heavy items.
- Physical mobility and agility are essential.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers is required, along with maintaining balance.
- Endurance is necessary for the role.
- Exposure to chemicals, loud noises, and vibrations.
- Working in extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
- Potential allergens including dust, mold, and pollen.
- Exposure to magnetic fields, radiation, sharps, and latex.
- Risk of exposure to infectious materials, body fluids, and specimens.
- Direct contact with patients or patient specimens.
- Unanticipated exposure may occur.
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current New Jersey State Nursing License and BLS certification are mandatory.
- Preferred experience in a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
- Familiarity with office equipment and technology is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
