Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contract Manager to join our Global Technology & Commercial Legal Services Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality commercial contract and administrative support to Western Digital, including its Procurement and Sales organizations.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Negotiation and Administration: Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide variety of commercial contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, sales agreements, marketing agreements, distribution agreements, professional services agreements, purchase agreements, engagement letters, statements of work, amendments, and other business/legal documents.
- Risk Management: Identify and advise internal clients on risks associated with each transaction and propose practical/strategic risk mitigation strategies in connection with commercial transactions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with commercial contracts attorneys within the Global Technology & Commercial Legal Services Team and various teams within the Legal Department.
- Contract Management: Support various aspects of the contract management process, including post-contract award administration and use and management of Western Digital's internal contracts management tools and applications.
- Project Management: Provide ad hoc project management, general administrative, and operational support.
- Special Projects: Work on special projects, as needed.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant transactional experience in an in-house legal department drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements and performing contract administration.
- Skills: Self-starter who takes ownership of work and demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in a team environment. Ability to effectively identify goals and communicate and identify risks and proposed go-forward strategies with internal business clients.
- Education and Certifications: Relevant education, qualifications, certifications, and experience.
- Technology and Tools: Experience working in (or with) technology companies or in the technology industry is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) preferred.
