Your Role:
As a key member of the Global Technology & Commercial Legal Services Team, you will deliver exceptional commercial contract and administrative support to Western Digital, particularly within our Procurement and Sales divisions. This role involves negotiating and managing commercial agreements while collaborating with internal stakeholders and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a diverse array of commercial contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, sales contracts, marketing agreements, distribution contracts, professional services agreements, purchase agreements, engagement letters, statements of work, amendments, and other legal documents.
  • Identify and advise internal clients on potential risks associated with transactions, proposing practical and strategic risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial contracts attorneys within the Global Technology & Commercial Legal Services Team and various departments within the Legal Division.
  • Support various aspects of the contract management process, including post-award administration and the effective use of Western Digital's internal contract management tools.
  • Provide ad hoc project management, general administrative, and operational support as needed.
  • Engage in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant transactional experience in an in-house legal department, focusing on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, as well as contract administration.
  • Self-motivated individual who takes ownership of tasks and demonstrates the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in identifying objectives and effectively communicating risks and proposed strategies to internal business clients.
  • Experience in the technology sector or with technology companies is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, timely results across a variety of contract matters.
  • Familiarity with contract management lifecycle (CLM) solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is preferred.
