Position Overview

  • Department Manager - Supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams at a single location, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Responsibilities include leading and executing various housekeeping and laundry tasks across different shifts.
  • Training & Development - Oversee staff training, quality control, and project completion. Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality aligns with established standards.
  • Reporting - Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Communication - Act as a liaison between building occupants, administrators, and HCSG staff, effectively relaying directives and information among all parties.
  • Safety - Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of protective gear and cleaning solutions. Promptly report equipment issues while maintaining a hygienic environment.
  • Punctuality - Exhibit consistent attendance, timely task completion, and prompt communication responses.
  • Customer Experience - Uphold HCSG's standards by being courteous, cooperative, and diligently following instructions.
  • Resident Experience - Engage positively and respectfully with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Exhibit a positive attitude, follow instructions, and effectively perform daily tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills post-training to independently and safely fulfill responsibilities.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in Environmental Services within a healthcare setting, including personnel supervision, is desirable.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work with cleaning products and food.
  • Must reside within the service area.
