Job Summary:

Teledyne FLIR LLC is seeking a skilled Cable Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Cable Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, and performing intricate wiring on cable, connectors, electrical penetrators, junction boxes, and similar equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lay out complex wiring systems for various industrial applications.
  • Assemble and install electrical components, including connectors, penetrators, and junction boxes.
  • Read and interpret schematic wiring diagrams, process sheets, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
  • Use electrical instruments to make polarity determinations and ensure proper connections.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in cable assembly and installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills and ability to apply common sense in performing job duties.
  • Good coordination, flexibility, and vision, including passing a color blindness test.

Work Environment:

This is a factory-based position, working a second shift (2pm-12:30am) on Monday through Thursday.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Use of safety glasses and steel protective shoes or protective shoe covers is required.

  • Quality Systems.
