We are seeking a skilled Cable Assembler Specialist to join our team at Teledyne FLIR LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, and performing intricate wiring on cable, connectors, electrical penetrators, junction boxes, and similar equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wiring and Assembly: Plan and perform intricate wiring on cable, connectors, electrical penetrators, junction boxes, and similar equipment.
  • Reading and Understanding Schematics: Read and understand schematic wiring diagrams and process sheets and blueprints.
  • Electrical Instrumentation: Use simple electrical instruments to make polarity determinations.
  • Assembly and Quality Control: Assemble equipment from detailed written or verbal instructions and ensure quality control measures are met.
  • Communication and Documentation: Record data, write clearly and informatively, and read and interpret written information.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of cable assembly experience.
  • Skills: Ability to apply common sense, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, read and interpret documents, and use basic high school math skills.
Work Environment:
  • Factory Environment: Work in a factory environment with good coordination and flexibility in both hands.
  • Physical Demands: Move and occasionally lift up to 50lbs or more.
  • Good Vision: Good vision including passing color blindness test.
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Safety Glasses: Use of safety glasses.
  • Steel Protective Shoes: Use of steel protective shoes or protective shoe covers.
Training Requirements:
  • ERP and Time Clock System Overview: Training on ERP and time clock system.
  • Teledyne Ethics and Harassment Training: Training on Teledyne ethics and harassment.
  • Hazardous Communications: Training on hazardous communications.
  • Quality Systems: Training on quality systems.
