Job Summary

Vicinity Energy, Inc. is seeking a skilled Energy Systems Technician to join our team in Boston, MA. As a member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our district energy systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain plant equipment to meet system requirements
  • Determine appropriate loading of equipment and make adjustments as needed
  • Coordinate with Auxiliary Operators to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Schedule and coordinate fuel oil deliveries to specific tanks
  • Review logs, charts, and records to identify areas for improvement
  • Assist other team members as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to distinguish between different shades of color and transcribe numbers accurately
  • Knowledge and ability to operate all Vicinity production equipment and associated auxiliaries
  • Massachusetts Second Class Engineers License required
  • Massachusetts Grade II Industrial Wastewater License
  • Valid Drivers License to operate company vehicle
Working Conditions

This is a full-time hourly position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and conditions. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively individually and with a group of other operators and technicians.
