Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Technology Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the HTM Department at John Muir Health. This role will ensure the safety, functionality, and reliability of all medical equipment and lead a team of biomedical engineers and technicians to achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of biomedical engineers and technicians
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements:
Education: Associate degree or higher in a related field is required.
Experience: 5 years of hospital experience is required. 3 years of management experience is preferred.
Certifications/Licensures: AAMI-CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) certification is required or obtained within 12 months of employment.
Skills:
- Technical expertise in biomedical engineering principles, medical equipment maintenance, and regulatory standards
- Leadership and management skills, including supervising teams, organizational skills, and time management
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to explain technical information to non-technical staff
- Problem-solving skills, including diagnosing and resolving equipment issues
Work Environment:
This is an exempt position, and the work shift will be from 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.
Pay Range: $98.66 per hour. Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
