Job Overview

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is a global leader in environmental consulting and project development. We are currently seeking a Managing Consultant, Scientist, Biological Field Services to join our team.

About the Role

We anticipate an annual base salary of $92,139 – $101,686 for this position, with opportunities for bonus pay. As a Managing Consultant, you will work closely with a larger team of natural resources specialists to provide high-quality analytical support to ERM clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consulting and permitting support across various sectors, including mining, oil and gas, power transmission, and renewable/alternative energy.
  • Collect field data, organize and analyze collected information, conduct literature reviews, and write reports to contribute to client deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with ERM's management system, format, and quality standards throughout all work assignments.
  • Utilize digital tools like ArcGIS Online and Survey123 for data collection and mapping.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team while identifying process improvements to benefit clients.
  • Assist with permit applications as needed.
  • Perform other duties assigned or required by the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a natural science field is preferred, with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Excel and MS Word.
  • Ability to multitask, maintain flexibility, and work independently on projects with expedited deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety, adhering to established Health & Safety protocols.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and challenging terrain.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, be on-call as needed, and spend extended periods working in the field.
  • Valid driver's license and/or ability to operate a company vehicle due to frequent travel across large geographical areas.
