Per Diem Physical Therapist for Geriatric Care

At Qualicare, Frisco, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, promoting physical function, and enhancing overall health and well-being.
About the RoleThis per diem position is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Physical Therapists to provide holistic, client-focused care to seniors in the DFW metro area. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, conducting thorough evaluations, and developing personalized treatment plans.
We offer a range of services, including geriatric care, hospice, palliative care, discharge to home, Alzheimers and Dementia care, and concierge medical care. Our 360 Care Plan approach ensures comprehensive care for every client, and we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to a diverse range of patients
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify physical impairments and develop personalized treatment plans
- Utilize a range of evidence-based techniques, including trigger point therapy, to address patient needs
- Implement and monitor patient treatment plans, adjusting as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care
In addition to your clinical skills, you will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently. RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Texas
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Minimum one year experience in a home healthcare setting
- One-year experience in geriatric care, preferred
