Job Description

Join the US Veterans Health Administration as an Optometrist and contribute to the delivery of high-quality eye care services to our nation's heroes. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for examining patients, diagnosing vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses or other treatments to improve their vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine patients to diagnose vision problems and prescribe corrective lenses or other treatments.
  • Perform routine eye exams, including visual acuity tests, refractions, and eye health assessments.
  • Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, or other vision correction devices as needed.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on eye care and vision health.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice optometry in the state where the position is located.
  • Experience in optometry, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
