Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team at eTeam. As a key member of our product development team, you will work closely with mechanical design engineers to prepare detailed design and drawings for mechanical components.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design engineers to develop and maintain MCAD component libraries.
  • Perform structural analysis using SolidWorks or other analysis tools, such as Ansys Mechanical, with guidance from engineers.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing drawings per ANSI Y14.5 and GD&T standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with high-volume manufacturing processes, including high-pressure die casting, metal stamping, extrusion, and injection molding.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure design and manufacturing alignment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in 3D CAD modeling tools, such as SolidWorks, Pro-E, Creo, or CATIA.
  • 5+ years of experience drafting manufacturing drawings per ANSI Y14.5 and GD&T standards.
  • Strong understanding of high-volume manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Product Data Management (PDM) tools, such as Windchill, and structural simulation tools, such as SolidWorks or ANSYS-Mechanical.
