Job Title: Mechanical HVAC Engineer III

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

About the Role

The Mechanical HVAC Engineer III reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. This role performs engineering design evaluations and produces drawings and specifications for projects with little supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review specifications, technical manuals, and other technical documentation.
  • Coordinate mechanical system design with architects and other consultants.
  • Assist higher-level engineers in engineering tasks, and project management tasks for assigned projects.
  • May assist with the preparation of proposals, reports, and research technical information to support and design systems.
  • Support planning and execution efforts for technical investigations, analyses, and testing.
  • Provide supporting technical and logistics documentation relative to recommended design improvements and performance requirements.
  • Load calculations.
  • Assist with equipment selection.
  • Analysis of equipment energy use for optimizing systems selection.
  • Developing system narratives (write and organize the document, as well as develop the images).
Work Environment

The civic team has 9 individuals and works on a variety of projects like office buildings, jails, fire stations, Capital Annex building, etc. Opportunities for growth and great internal benefits package. PTO accrual is good. Opportunity for Hybrid work after being onboarded directly.

They have a large modern office in Rancho Cordova, and they have an office in Long Beach as well that helps to support design projects.
