Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY

A Master's Level professional with expertise in supporting individuals on the Autism Spectrum is sought for this role. The therapist will deliver direct care services to children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism, which includes conducting assessments and managing referrals for new program admissions. Additionally, this role involves overseeing and supervising during psychiatric or psychological evaluations and medication monitoring as required.

The clinician will provide both offsite and onsite individual therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and parent training and support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct Mental Health & IMCANS assessments (initial and updates) through a structured process to gather comprehensive information regarding a client's mental and physical health, substance use history, and presenting issues, leading to the identification of individual needs and appropriate service recommendations;

2. Develop comprehensive treatment plans (initial and updates) within the timelines established under relevant regulations;

3. Execute crisis planning and discharge planning as mandated;

4. Ensure that services outlined in the treatment plan are delivered and billed for on a weekly basis;

5. Maintain regular attendance at work;

6. Participate in meetings related to individual recovery and treatment, such as 504 plans and IEP meetings;

7. Monitor the individual's progress in relation to the treatment plan;

8. Advocate for the rights and services of individuals (in educational, home, and legal contexts);

9. Facilitate individual linkages and transitions;

10. Ensure compliance with treatment documentation requirements;

11. Provide intensive stabilization, psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, and case management;

12. Engage in all mandatory training sessions offered within the Child & Adolescent division or specific to Autism Spectrum disorders;

13. Initiate and coordinate psychological testing and psychiatric evaluations;

14. Deliver services related to individual, family, medication monitoring, case management, and group therapy to foster resilience, independence, and overall well-being;

15. Offer Community Support services aimed at enhancing social-emotional and vocational skills;

16. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Master's degree in social work or counseling;

· At least one year of experience in the human services field, with a minimum of one year working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum disorders;

· Familiarity with ABA therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis);

· Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe;

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations;

· Detail-oriented and adaptable;

· Knowledge of relevant mental health regulations;

· Excellent communication skills to serve as a liaison among primary referral sources, families, community partners, educational institutions, and legal systems.
