Job Summary:

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge data and analytics technology assets and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for emerging technology, a drive to learn and grow, and a strong understanding of data management and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and launch efficient and reliable data solutions, including data products, visualizations, and API access to data.
  • Partner with leadership, engineers, product managers, and business customers to understand data needs and drive impact.
  • Develop and maintain efficient pipelines, securely source external data, and contribute to data model designs and maintenance.
  • Incorporate automation throughout the process and promote a data-driven culture throughout the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and support.
  • Strategic mindset, understanding and applying data management in balance with current needs and long-term organizational objectives.

Advanced Skills:

  • SQL, Python, PowerBI, and AWS Data & Analytics cloud components (S3, Mongo, Snowflake, SageMaker).
  • Relational and dimensional data architecture, modeling, extraction, transformation, and loading, data management, and data governance.
