About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing ETL processes, as well as providing technical guidance and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, troubleshoot, and enhance complex ETL code packages using Oracle PL/SQL and SSIS
  • Lead and operate in cloud environments involving AWS, Snowflake, and migrate data assets to cloud
  • Provide highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies
  • Act as a Technical Leader, providing technical guidance and best practices adherence as needed
  • Consult with functional management in the analysis of short and long-range business requirements and recommend innovations that anticipate the future impact of changing business needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and 7 or more years' experience in IT systems analysis and application program development
  • 5+ years strong Database Developer experience using Oracle PL/SQL - stored procedures, packages, functions, querying, testing, and deploying
  • 1-3 years experience of migrating assets to cloud - AWS and Snowflake environment
  • 5+ years of data analysis, manipulation, and development
  • 1+ years of experience in the insurance or investment industry
What We Offer

The Hartford offers a competitive annualized base pay range of $113,360 - $170,040, as well as a comprehensive total compensation package that includes short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
