Job Summary

As a Customer Relations Associate at AWP Safety, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely submission of invoicing to our customers, as well as ensuring all payments are received within the defined terms. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter high volumes of data into various systems timely and accurately for billing purposes
  • Make adjustments and handle billing discrepancies and rejections timely and accurately
  • Validate, verify, and compare contract agreements as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service and provide customers with a positive experience
  • Support the team in securing timely payments from customers
  • Act as a resource for other functions within AWP
  • Answer phones and respond to inquiries using a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Provide general office support and peer training as requested
  • Comply with all AWP policies, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of data entry or relevant experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; strong math skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Intense focus on accuracy and attention to detail; organized
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrate high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Outgoing and assertive personality - not afraid to approach individuals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word)
Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and Salesforce software preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Hours of operation are M-F, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
  • 40-hour work week
  • Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
  • Occasionally lift and move pounds
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
  • Proficient literacy
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms
