Position Overview and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), the Government Program Analyst Associate (GPAA) is tasked with the preparation and management of the annual budget for the California Victim Compensation Board. This role also involves the formulation and execution of the Governor's Budget, as well as the preparation of the federal budget. The GPAA will monitor and report on federal expenditures and create projections for these expenditures. Additionally, this position is responsible for overseeing, processing, and reconciling invoices related to Joint Powers contracts and revolving funds.

The California Victim Compensation Board promotes a hybrid work environment that accommodates a diverse workforce, supporting both remote and office-based telework arrangements.

This role is classified under the Conflict of Interest Code. The incumbent will be involved in governmental decisions that could materially impact personal financial interests. The selected candidate must complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and annually thereafter. Non-compliance with the Conflict of Interest Code may result in the revocation of the appointment.
