Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiver Lead to join our team. As a Caregiver Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and services are provided to our residents.
Responsibilities- Provide supervisory support to Care Managers, ensuring attendance, managing call-offs, and responding to shift requests.
- Support team members in providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services, including bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Encourage personalized and meaningful resident participation in life enrichment programming and ADLs.
- Assist with meal service in the dining room, coaching team members on hospitality standards.
- Accurately document care and services provided to residents, reviewing care manager documentation throughout the shift.
- Ensure compliance with Sunrise's Timekeeping and Meal/Rest Period policies, monitoring team member break schedules and durations.
- Display flexibility in work schedules, working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as needed.
- Prepare for shifts by obtaining resident group assignments, printing, and distributing daily assignment sheets to team members.
- Participate in crossover meetings, sharing and receiving pertinent information with other Lead Care Managers.
- Cross-trained and credentialed to safely administer medications during times of high volume or unexpected absence.
- High School diploma or GED strongly preferred and may be required per state regulations.
- Ability to read, write, communicate effectively with Care Managers, Community Managers, residents, and family members.
- In states where applicable, must maintain applicable certifications.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Medication Management Certificate required, with ongoing training and re-education per Sunrise and state requirements.
- Previous experience working with seniors and a desire to serve and care for seniors.
- Demonstrates leadership competencies, ability to delegate assignments, and make choices in the residents' best interest.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, competent in organizational and time management skills, and good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
