Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full-Time Intake Registered Nurse to join our team at West Oaks Hospital. As an Intake Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the coordination of assessments and admissions of incoming patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Call Management and Initial Assessment: Respond to incoming calls, conduct initial assessments, and gather necessary information to facilitate the admission process.
  • Evaluation and Admission Process: Coordinate with Intake Counselors, Doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient admission process.
  • Operations and Staff Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Intake department, including staff supervision and performance management.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the Intake department.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an ADN, Diploma, or BSN degree.
  • Licensure and Certification: Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure, CPR certification, and hospital de-escalation certification.
  • Experience: Two years of inpatient psychiatric experience, with knowledge of nursing assessment, diagnosis, and intervention with psychiatric patients.
