Job Summary:

The Engineering/Surveying Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple public and private projects. This role involves planning and consulting for various projects, conducting engineering and/or surveying work, and overseeing projects to ensure timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide exceptional client service by reviewing customer expectations for project needs and maintaining open communication with the client regarding project changes that may impact fees.
  2. Create and monitor project scope, design schedules, budgets, and contracts.
  3. Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level project engineers on financial management, customer service, and client management.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact with clients while building strong, long-term relationships and maintaining current relationships with existing clients.
  5. Assess projects to identify and manage risks, ensuring that risk management practices are in place.
  6. Delegate work to the project team, answer questions, monitor progress, and review completed work.
  7. Prepare proposals, including fee estimates.
  8. Prepare project billing and invoicing.
  9. Collaborate with the team to coordinate project decisions in conjunction with the client and other stakeholders.

We are seeking candidates with a Professional Engineering License for the State of Wisconsin and/or a Professional Land Surveying License, along with 5+ years of project management experience. Strong people skills and effective communication with clients and team members are essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is also required.
