Position Overview

Paul Mitchell Schools is committed to delivering exceptional education in cosmetology and barbering. We are currently seeking a full-time Financial Aid Consultant to enhance our dedicated team. This role offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Associate's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years in financial aid roles or relevant transferable experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial aid processing, including Title IV regulations
  • High attention to detail to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional standards
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial aid regulations effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Capability to perform basic accounting tasks and maintain accurate records
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion

A bachelor's degree is preferred.


Daily Responsibilities as a Financial Aid Consultant

In your role as a Financial Aid Consultant, you will be instrumental in assisting prospective and current students and their families with the financial aid process. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Providing comprehensive information about available financial aid programs and procedures
  • Ensuring students accurately complete their financial aid applications within deadlines
  • Assessing eligibility based on federal, state, and institutional guidelines
  • Maintaining meticulous records and ensuring adherence to all regulations
  • Conducting follow-ups with students to provide updates and address inquiries
